About

Hi! My name is Gina Byun. I’m a twenty something Canadian who loves to relate with whoever I get the honor of getting to know. I’m probably just like you. Some things that make me a little unique are:

I’m a vegetarian. I have been for about 6 years. My tummy just doesn’t seem to like meat. I grew up on a traditional country diet, so being a vegetarian has pushed me to try new things. I’m just entering into the world of natural medicine  I’d love it if you’ll join me in learning about eating clean and staying healthy!

I’m in a biracial/mixed culture marriage. My Husband moved to Canada from S. Korea about 10 years ago. I love learning about his background and how Korean culture has shaped him and now me. I know very little Korean language and his family knows very little English, so we bond over Korean food. I’ve loved eating and learning to make sooo many delicious foods!

I’m a pastor. Often people ask me what my job is and then I tell them I’m a pastor and they get all awkward and start acting strangely. I became a pastor because I found that serving in the church is a way for me to share the hope I’ve found in Jesus Christ with others. The truth is, I’m just like anyone else. I’m not going to try to change anyone or make them “stop swearing”. Most of my role as a pastor involves teenagers. So I’ve seen a lot. So please share your life with me, as I share mine with you.

I’ve wanted to start a blog for a few years now. My friends and family have been encouraging me too so this year I decided to stop dreaming about it and start! So here I go! Let’s dive in!
